Description:

Ana G. Mendez University System (AGMUS) with three universities under its umbrella (Universidad del Turabo, Universidad Metropolitana and Universidad del Este) has 60 years of academic excellence. It’s the second largest private institution in Puerto Rico with over 45,000 students and 12 campuses across the island. In 2003 opened its first campus in the United States called Metro Orlando Campus, to offer the AHORA Program, an innovative dual language accelerated studies program designed for adults that have not yet completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.

Class Format: The institution offers the AHORA Program which is the only and first bilingual accelerated program in the nation. It is registered as the “Discipline-Based Dual Language Immersion Model”®. It offers several academic programs which follow the 50/50 model of bilingual instruction. Therefore, 50% of instruction is offered in English and 50% in Spanish. This gives students the necessary tools to incorporate language skills and at the same time complete a degree as a bilingual professional. Classes are small, interactive and students attend to the classroom once per week. Students have the opportunity to study in a multicultural environment by sharing their knowledge and experiences with professionals from the Latin American countries.

Cost per Credit Hour: Bachelor - $310/credit hour; Master - $360/credit hour

Application Requirements: (1) 23 years old + (2) 3 years of work experience (3) college experience. If the applicant doesn’t meet the requirements, we offer an attractive alternative.

Financial Aid: Federal financial assistance for those who qualify: Pell Grant, FEOG and Student Loans. We also offer the Work-Study Program. In addition, we accept the following benefits: Corporate Reimbursement and Veterans Benefits.
